سمندروں کے نیلگوں
Blue azure of ocean
نہ ختم ہوتے سلسلے
Unending series
زمیں پہ بھی اُفق سمٹ گئے تو کیا
If horizon is drawn closer to the earth,what of that
علامتیں شعور کو
Symptoms for consciousness
تلاش کرکے رُک گئیں
Having sought it happened to stop
نقوش پھر بھی رہ گئے
Impression persisted
جمی ہوئی ہے برف سی
This is frozen like ice
فصیلِ کائنات پر
On rampart of the universe
حرارتوں کے زاوئے بدل گئے
Angle of temperature changed
یہ لفظ و صوت معنوی حصار سے ہیں کیوں الگ
Why words and sounds are separate from enclosure of meaning?
یہ زاوئے کی بات ہے کہ قتل،علم و فضل کا
This concerns angle that the murder of learning & excellence
چلو کہ جستجو کریں
Step forward to pursue curiosity
اُنہی اُفق کے درمیاں
Betwixt the same horizon
زمیں پہ جو سمٹ گئے
Those who drew closer on land
سمٹ کے پھیلنے لگے
Having drawn closer began spreading
کہیں تو تارِ عنکبوت کی طرح
Somewhere like spider's web
ہوا سے کانپتے رہے
Shivered because of velocity of wind
کہیں اُلجھ کے رہ گئے
Somewhere happened to get entangled
کہیں سلجھ سلجھ پڑے
Somewhere solved problem and disentangled
مگر یہ کیا ہوا کہ اپنی آگہی
What happened to our information and insight
اُسی مقام پر رہی
It remained static at the same place
جہاں سے لفظ و صوت کے یہ سلسلے
Where the series of words and sound
علامتوں کی ساخت میں دبے رہے
It remained suppressed under symptomatic structure
وہ ذی شعور کون ہے
Who is that sensible
سوسیر 1 یا ژاک 2 ہے
Either he could be Saussure or Jaques
کہ فلسفہ لسان کو روشنی سے بھردیا
He filled philosophy of language with utmost knowledge
آگہی سے بھر دیا
They furnished vast information and knowledge
اور متنِ شعر کو تکثیریت سے آشنا بھی کردیا
Text of poem could be acquainted with Pluralism
پر اس نئے مکالمے کو اردویٔ جہان میں
But the new dialogue in the domain of Urdu
راستہ دکھا دیا، راہ پر لگادیا
Shown the way and led to follow path
وہ کون ہے، وہ کون ہے
Who is he, who is he?
کہ جس نے بند روزنوں کو کھول کر
Who, having opened the closed ventilator
دلیل اور ثبوت سے بتادیا
He convinced by means of proof and argument
کہ شعریت خلوص ہے
That poetic element is cordiality
کہ شعریت شعور ہے
That poetic element is consciousness
وہ کون ہے
Who is he?
کہ جس نے صوت و شعریت سے آشنا کرادیا
Who acquainted us with sound and poetic element
مجھے بھی اس کی آگہی کا ذائقہ چکھا دیا!
